The European Law Students' Association Georgia is jointly
implementing the International Summer Law School
of Intellectual Property Law through joint cooperation with the
National Intellectual Property Center - Sakpatenti. Lawyer students
and young professionals from more than 15 European countries take
part in the Summer School of Law annually.
The European and Georgian students receive information on the legal
mechanisms of the intellectual property and the means of their
international registration within the school. In addition, the law
school is designed to develop both theoretical and practical
knowledge and relevant skills,
Which can be used by various activities within the school.
With the help of qualified rapporteurs working in this field, the
course of the School of Law is focused on the review of
international aspects of intellectual property law and covers the
following issues:
Functions and responsibilities of the intellectual property wing
organization
Trade marks, legal procedures for registration procedures and
design protection
Collective management of copyright, its current status and
challenges
Legal scope of protection of geographical indications
At the end of the week, participants visit the Innovation and
Technology Agency of Georgia to learn more about the importance of
innovations in the modern society. Apart from the academic part of
the project, the project will provide guests with diverse social
programs to participate in various cultural and social activities
in order to learn more about Georgia, bringing closer to its
culture and ancient traditions.
